About Caritas Academy
We are a group of STEAMin3-based preschools in Northern Virginia. We care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, and provide a range of age-appropriate resources and activities to encourage their development right up until they are ready for their next adventure! We want your child to be school-ready when they graduate!
We also want them to be kind, resilient and independent. We balance academic instruction with play to help develop a caring community of learners!

Our Programs
Infants and Toddlers
Infants and Toddlers at Caritas Academy are encouraged to socialize, learn and explore their growing independence in a safe and nurturing environment. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that your child receives the best care possible. We understand the importance of providing you with peace of mind, knowing your child is in capable hands.
Our classrooms are designed to meet the developmental needs of all children. Each space is carefully arranged with age-appropriate toys, sensory experiences and engaging materials. These elements encourage exploration, cognitive development, and sensory integration, all vital components of early learning.
Our curriculum is tailored to suit the unique needs of each child, recognizing their individuality and fostering their holistic growth. Our experienced teachers provide individualized attention and care, supporting each infant and toddler’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
Through gentle guidance, our teachers help infants and toddlers build a solid foundation for their development journeys.
Preschool
Our Preschool Program is thoughtfully designed to provide a dynamic and engaging learning experience for children. With a strong emphasis on sequential learning, guided by our comprehensive core curriculum, each classroom is geared towards fostering growth and development in young minds. We believe in a holistic approach that encourages exploration, creativity and hands-on learning.
We offer a range of enriching activities that ignite curiosity and imagination. Children engage in discovery, learning, fostering exploration and meaningful connections with the world. Activities include imaginative play, music and movement, literacy and art. We tailor activities to each child’s needs and interests, ensuring personalized support for their growth and development.
After School Program
At Caritas Academy, we offer a comprehensive After School Program for children in Kindergarten through age 12 designed to provide exceptional education and care for students from local public elementary schools. We understand the need for a safe and enriching environment for children after their school day, and our program is tailored to meet these needs.
Our School Age Program operates from 7:00 am until 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday, ensuring convenient care for working parents. We also extend our services to include county teacher workdays, select snow days, and spring break, all at no additional cost. We prioritize your child’s well-being and provide snacks each day. For full-day programming, we provide snacks and lunch, at no additional cost.
*Please note that we occasionally close for severe weather, per our Inclement Weather Policy, as well as for holidays indicated on the annual school calendar.
At Caritas Academy, we believe in fostering a sense of choice and autonomy among our school-age students. We offer a wide range of planned activities for the day and encourage children to actively participate based on their interests. Our dedicated staff supervises various engaging activities such as indoor recreational games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, physical fitness, drama, music, and cooking. These activities are designed to promote creativity, physical development, academic progress, and social interaction.
Summer Camp
The best part about summer is…Camp! Caritas Academy offers a diverse and stimulating experience that combines creativity, fun, and enrichment. We are dedicated to creating a memorable and independent camp experience, allowing them to create cherished memories.
Our Summer Camp is theme-based! We carefully organize a wide variety of activities that expand your child’s camp experience each week. We are proud of our reputation for providing an enriching experience within a safe and secure environment.
We offer two distinct programs, Lower and Middle Grades Camp for children aged 3 months to rising Kindergarteners, and Upper Grades Camp for Rising 1st Graders to Rising 6th Graders. This ensures that each child’s camp experience is tailored to their developmental stage, creating a program that is age-appropriate and engaging.
A typical week at Camp includes:

Camp T-shirts, hats, water bottles, and bags for all campers
