Through daily activities, routines, and interactive games, we create an environment where children thrive and grow. We use observation and assessment tools to inform our teaching strategies, guaranteeing that each child receives personalized instruction.
Our curriculum aligns with the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASSⓇ) and the Virginia Kindergarten Readiness Program (VKRP). At Caritas Academy, we are committed to preparing your child for school, our curriculum ensures that our teaching supports each child’s development and readiness for future academic success.
We focus on 6 major STEAM areas (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and 5 Core Skills, promoting holistic development and early learning to create a cohesive learning experience. We use this approach to help your child develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity.
Our Focus
Science
Our curriculum includes opportunities for your child to explore the natural world around them. They will learn about the environment, living things, and physical science through hands-on experiments, observation, and exploration.
Technology
We believe that technology is an important tool in today's world. Your child will be exposed to various forms of technology, such as tablets and computers, and will learn how to use them in a responsible and safe manner.
Engineering
Engineering principles teach children how to design, build, and test structures and devices. Through projects that involve building and constructing, your child will develop an understanding of how things work and how to problem-solve.
Art
Our curriculum includes art projects that encourage creativity, self-expression, and aesthetic appreciation. Your child will be exposed to various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and more.
Mathematics
Through games and activities, your child will learn the basics of mathematics, such as counting, adding, subtracting, and problem-solving. We aim to make mathematics fun and engaging for your child
